Abstract

This paper studies, as a synthesis on the subject, the main relationships between Franciscanism and Lullism in Majorca fromthe 13th to the 20th centuries. There are not important data on the Majorcan Lullist Franciscanism until the 15th century. The modern Lullist Franciscanism has the observant friars as protagonists until the desamortización of Mendizábal. Finally, the Third Order Regular of Saint Francis (TOR) took the reins of Majorcan Lullism, with important contributions along the 20th century.
