Analysis of the toy figure of the Saint, the Silver Masked

The article ponders about image and discourse in popular culture, specifically analyzes toy figurines of "El Santo" wrestler from the 1960s to date. Through the contextual analysis under which these figures were produced, as well as the analysis of symbols and images, an articulating discourse between global and local imaginaries is interpreted, as well as the capacity of mass culture in expressions such as Lucha Libre (Mexican wrestling) and popular toy figures to reinterpret symbols through the popular imaginary.
