The T.O.R. and the Literature into El Heraldo de Cristo

Abstract

This paper talks about the presence of literature in El Heraldo de Cristo, a magazine published in Mallorca between March 1909 and December 1974. El Heraldo… was a religious publication, which regularly published poems by contemporary authors and from the past, mostly in Catalan, but also in Spanish. Most of the published authors belonged to the «Escola Mallorquina». Around the 1960s and 1970s, El Heraldo... did valuable work to inform and promote Catalan literature on our island and made known great projects, such as the publication of the Cançoner Popular de Mallorca, by Fr. Ginard.
